Kristina Garcia

Job Title
Nurse Practitioner
Education
Undergraduate: Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, TN, South University, Savannah, GA Graduate: South University, Savannah, GA
Experience
13
Bio

I began my career began as a labor and delivery nurse. Four years later, I decided to further my education and obtained my Bachelor of Science degree from South University in Savannah, Georgia while continuing my career as a labor and delivery nurse. Finally, I decided to advance my education once more and successfully earned my Master of Science degree in Nursing from South University. I am currently certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

On a personal note, I am a wife and mother of six children. I recently moved to Chattanooga and love it here! I understand that as women life often pulls us in many directions, all at once. I was a teenage mother and I know the stress of working night shifts and going to school full time while taking care of a family. That being said, I can truly understand the importance for women to take the time to care for themselves.

I am passionate about women’s health and empowering women to participate in their own healthcare. I truly believe patients benefit when they are more involved in their own care and decision making.

Job Title
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Education
Associates Degree in Practical Nursing and Bachelors in Psychology
Experience
1 Year of Experience
Bio

First of all, I am a mother of two boys who are my world. I graduated in Psychology from the University of Knoxville, Tennesse and worked in that field for many years. After that, I went into sales and enjoyed it very much. I married, had my boys and the privilege to stay home with them while they were younger and was so thankful for that time. Once the boys started school, I felt that there was something missing from my life, something for me... I had said that in the past that if I could go back and do it all again I would go into medicine, so here I am. I have always loved medicine because my father is a physician who I have always looked up to as my mentor. I buckled down, juggled full-time school and with the help of god, my friends and family here I am.
